I was in the mood for a nice pancake and eggs brunch, so I thought I'd share! Start out with your dry ingredients, then add the wet...
Mix it all up and take it to the griddle...
I added some blueberries...
When it starts to bubble, you know that's when to flip...
Added some butter...
Here's some farm fresh eggs...Notice how yellow the yokes are?
I let it skim over by putting the lid on it and turning off the heat and let the residual heat do the rest..to have sunny side up eggs aka fried eggs without having to flip them...We like the runny yolk...Had some cheese toast and strawberry jelly and pancake syrup...
A Brunch fit for a king and queen! It was delicious! See recipe below...Feel free to add all the fixins' you'd like...
Original Recipe Yield 8 servings
Pancakes for Brunch--Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
