Spring,
Just wanted to let you all know I'm currently having a Sale at my Etsy shop for 20% off of purchases of $5.00 or more for the month of March. The coupon code is Happyspring. Enjoy!
Well, it's my second spring here at blogland! Can't believe a year has gone by already! Had a nice sunny day with chance of showers today. It's currently rumbling in the distance, and it threatened of rain yesterday, but we never got it. We did get turkey calls though! Yesterday around 6:15 pm when it had cooled off and it was rumbling in the distance. It was the most gobbling I'd heard in one sitting ever. They sounded like they were in the field behind out house. Mark does what you call seed calling every day. They were at it for nearly a half an hour. I just sat out there for a while and enjoyed hearing them. Another first is the first tick of the season on me. The other day, I had recently taken a shower and I was in the kitchen washing dishes and felt something on the back of my neck. Lo and behold it was a tick! No doubt one of the cat brought him in. And Mark took care of the thing. And as I typed this post another tick! This one crawling up the side of the mantle piece by the computer! Needless to say, Mark and I put some tick and flea treatment on the back of the cats' necks and they shot off like a rocket when they realized what was going on! But it seems they're back to their normal selves now. I love the nicer weather, but we have to battle with those ticks and fleas again. And before too long I will be sneezing from the pollen. The nicer it gets outside, the worse I get! Enjoying the blooms and nice fresh air for now. It's not bothering me yet! So I hope everyone can rejoice and give thanks for another official SPRING day the Lord has given! Blessings to all! Laura

Don't forget to check out my Etsy for the new spring items! Have a blessed day!

Been busy researching craft ideas on the internet, getting springspiration, and coordinated/decorated for our Couple's Night for the couples at Church. Hope to get it on Youtube soon...In the mean time, some pics for you! We had a nice time! It was at Sweet Briar Women's College in Amherst and the food was wonderful! I loved how the decorations turned out too! Everyone had a good time! Below is the embedded Picasa Webs Slideshow of the pictures. God bless you, and Blessings to you!
Mark and I attended the couple's night this year this past Friday. We hardly ever get our pictures taken, so I had to get one done while we were all dressed up...I got the dress from a lady at church (thanks Brenda S.!) who had several and this was one of my favorite. Periwinkle...which was the color of my wedding..and I already had the vest...The sun was setting when the picture was taken.
Spring is in the air! Especially with 60 degree weather today and 50's yesterday. Love going for walks and have been picking up aluminum cans too..To take to the recycling place for money...And wiskey bottles. Never know what you can make from them...I am a firm believer in "rescuing the perishing" and love making treasures from trash..
I just finally got around to taking the Christmas garland off of the mantle and replacing it with some springy decor. Took some pics..
This is a wallhanging (above)I got from On Second Thought...with a grapevine swag that I made..I love the birds and birdfeeder..Looks so serene and peaceful...

A Closer up. We had a wonderful evening..and they had wonderful food! I would have taken pics, but the lighting was low and my camera does not do well in low lighting..... |

These came from my wedding..each of the bridesmaids had one to carry. I just cleaned the dust off of them, and do they shine!

This one I got at a going out of business sale at The Mustard Seed several years ago. I just love Thomas Kincaid stuff..Also with a floral swag I created. I just had to add another little bird on top...
May you enjoy your day and week and redeem the time...
Until next time...Be sweet!

To all the kitties I loved...
