Encouragement for the Weary
1:30 AM1 Corin 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
God has not promised us a bed of ease...But in the end it will be worth it all...There will be trials and tempations in life, but He will make a way of escape...
Meaning, God will allow suffering, but through His strength He will get us through. We can come out on the other side as gold, tried by the fire. For if everything was a bed of roses, why would we need to cry out to Him? He who suffers much, can love much and can be used of God the most.
Philip 1:29a
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
Hebr 5:8
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
We don't need to go out looking to suffer or be persecuted..Those who live Godly will find it soon enough in this life. May we not suffer for our own wrongs, or handling wrongs against us in the wrong way, but really be able to say we can count it all joy when trials come...
James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
May we have a thankful heart of what He does give. May we not allow a root of bitterness creep into our lives and hearts, for it defiles not only ourselves, but those around us...
1 Thess 5:18
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Let us renew our minds daily so we can walk through this single and solidary life that we have been given. Time is short. Let us Live for Him while it is called Today.
In Christ, Laura

Wonderful quotes Laura - so many misunderstand and think that believing in God means no troubles, but it is in suffering at times that we learn to draw nearer to Him.
